Decisions that are taken by the so-called ‘decision-making’ publics (EK, European and National Parliament, the government, the mayor, municipal counsels), significantly impact the environment in which organizations operate. In these times when more and more organizations are working globally, it is necessary to know not only local, national, and EU policies, but to also know the international environment of the operation, particularly in non-EU member countries. From the point of view of the organization it is therefore important to have established mutual and long-term relations with individual decision-making institutions, to regularly follow the preparation of legislation, and also to respond to these factors in a timely manner.
